In the second quarter of 2025, the top art and design applications in South Africa showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. This overview is based on data from Sensor Tower.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor experienced fluctuations in its metrics. Weekly revenue peaked at around $46K in late June, while downloads saw a high of 37.9K at the start of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 700K throughout the period.

Future Self Face Aging Changer showed a notable increase in downloads, reaching over 20K by the end of June. Its active user base also grew steadily, ending the quarter at approximately 172K. Revenue, however, remained low, peaking at only $26.
